The images spread on social networks took place a few months ago, and we sent an official appeal to the local authorities.

The statement came from Nurida Allahyarova, head of the international and public relations department of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, in response to APA's inquiry.

According to him, the Civil Service continues to investigate the images:

"In any case, the Civil Service is currently investigating the footage."

He said that the monuments "Kurgan steppe" (inv. № 500) and "Turkan settlement" (inv. № 500) were registered as archeological monuments of national importance by the Decision No. 132 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan:

Also, the newly discovered monument "Remains of the ancient cart road" in the area is protected by the State Service.

At the same time, the State Service has regularly made official appeals to local executive authorities to prevent intrusions that could pose a threat to the complex.

The head of the sector also stressed that the Ministry of Culture has prepared a protection zone for "Ancient Carriage Roads":

"Kurgan Cholu" and "Turkan settlement" monuments are also included in the protection zone of carts. "

It should be noted that for several days, images of damage to these monuments have been spread on social networks.
