A meeting of EU and Western Balkan leaders will be held in Brussels on 23 June.

The six leaders of the Western Balkan countries returned on June 23rd and were invited to Brussels to meet with members of the European Council.

However, it is not yet known whether the issue of visa liberalization for Kosovo will be part of the agenda of these meetings.

But, the president of Serbia thinks that Kosovo in this meeting will benefit from visa liberalization.

Experts on the integration process are divided on the possibility of visa liberalization.

Former member of the Kosovo delegation in dialogue, Gazmir Raci, says that liberalization is more possible than before due to the geopolitical situation in the world.

"EU member states must reflect on the citizens of Kosovo to remove them from the unjust isolation that has been done to them for several years, despite the fact that the European Commission has reported that all conditions have been met," said Raci. for the Telegraph.

He says Kosovo has only one geostrategic approach, while Serbia has several.

"It is the right moment to confirm Kosovo's European perspective with the abolition of visas, also due to the fact that there are dramatic geostrategic developments and the tendency from Russia to destabilize the Western Balkans through Serbia."

Arbër Fetahu from GLPS does not rule out the possibility of discussing visa liberalization.

"In this meeting will be discussed the current hot geopolitical topics such as Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, but can also be discussed on the topic of visa liberalization… But we know earlier that the process has been blocked by individual states," said Fetahu. for RTV Dukagjini.

International relations expert Shqiprim Pula says the topic of visa liberalization is outdated.

"Regarding the warnings for visa liberalization on June 23, one thing we need to know: After the decision by the European Council, the member states individually would have to ratify such an agreement.

"How possible this is to happen, especially in countries that have not yet recognized Kosovo, remains to be seen", declared Pula. /
