The State Motor Transport Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport continues to work on the establishment of regular bus routes on the most needed routes, taking into account the safety of passenger traffic to the liberated territories.

APA-Economics reports that a regular Baku-Fuzuli-Baku intercity bus route will be launched on June 25 as part of expanding passenger transportation to the Karabakh region.

In order to ensure the safety and continuity of traffic, the President's Special Representation for the Karabakh Economic Region and employees of the State Motor Transport Service inspected the destinations and road infrastructure.

The route was assessed, a traffic plan was developed and parking lots were identified.

Also, in accordance with the "Decision No. 52 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 3, 2009" to determine the carriers of the State Motor Transport Service, on April 6, 2022, the competition on the regular intercity bus route "Baku - Fizuli - Baku" announced.

The competition was held on May 12, 2022, and the individual Khalig Rustamov was declared the winner by the members of the commission.

Flights will be operated once a week on Saturdays.

At the initial stage, passengers will be able to visit the Merdinli village mosque, Fizuli city center and Fizuli International Airport.

At the next stage, it will be possible to visit Iba Piri, Garamammadli spring, Gargabazar Caravanserai complex and Dovletyarli village (Agilli village).

Citizens will be accompanied by guides while visiting religious, cultural and historical monuments.

Tickets will be sold online.

From June 17, citizens can buy tickets online through the portal www.yolumuzqarabaga.az.

Passengers must book departure and return tickets in advance at the same time.

Certain privileged people have the opportunity to get free tickets in this direction.

This category includes heroes of the Great Patriotic War, national heroes, members of the families of martyrs and invalids of the Karabakh war.

The Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) has involved drivers who will carry passengers on the Baku-Fuzuli-Baku regular intercity bus route in mine safety trainings and provided them with instruction manuals on basic safety rules.

Mine safety videos will be shown on buses to inform and instruct passengers.

A mine safety instruction brochure will also be placed on each seat.

The buses will be accompanied by crews of the Interior Ministry's road patrol service to ensure traffic safety.

Police officers are also expected to be on the buses.
