The Assembly has been officially notified by the Government for the dissolution of the Municipal Council of Tetova.

The decision has reached the Assembly, and after the legal verification, the deadlines for setting the date of the elections will be reviewed.

Until the election of the new council, part of the competencies will belong to the head of the municipality, respectively Bilall Kasami.

The current chairman of the council, Besar Durmishi, says the focus of the entity to which he belongs will be to secure the next majority.

"We as a party will be prepared to have last year's victory again, but we will also seek votes from the citizens to have support to function and maximize and orient the council's approach to good works for the citizens, without sabotage, without blockades. , so it should be a functional council ", said Besar Durmishi, Chairman of the Tetovo Council.

The Alliance for Albanians estimates that the moment will be used to restore the victory in Tetovo and to secure a stable majority.

"The Alliance for Albanians will use this moment to make a big turn in Tetovo.

Because we have been reconstructed and our ranks are ready.

We have followed the council closely and we take into account the mistakes, shortcomings and advantages of the local government as well ", said Vjollca Berisha, Secretary General of ASH.

The list "Best for Tetovo" estimates that going to the polls in times of crisis is a luxury.

"At the moment, in an economic and political crisis, going to the polls is a luxury.

We have many problems and many things to work in this municipality, which owes 24 million euros, but that's how the institutions decided ", said Elmedina Abdullahu, Advisor of the Best List for Tetovo.

The DUI says it will monitor Kasami's work until a new council is elected.

"Until the election of the new council, the mayor has some competencies that he can undertake, but the Law on Local Self-Government limits that not all competencies can be exercised by the mayor," said Blerim Osmani, Councilor of DUI.

The dissolution of the Tetovo council came after the final account was not approved until March 31, as provided by law.
