Officers of the Shabran District Police Department conducted an operation against drug trafficking.

Jafar Tarverdiyev, a resident of the region, and Nazrin Huseynova, a resident of Baku, suspected of obtaining, storing, transporting and selling drugs, were detained as a result of search operations, Guba regional group of the Interior Ministry's press service told APA.

During the search of the car belonging to J.Tarverdiyev, a large amount of heroin, as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, an electronic scale and a bayonet were found and confiscated.

In addition, during the investigation, it was found out that J.Tarverdiyev planted hemp (cannabis) in the yard of the house in the neighborhood, which has no actual residence.

A criminal case has been launched on the fact at the Shabran Police Department, and the court has decided to arrest them.
