The European Parliament and EU member states have decided to extend the Covid-19 vaccine certificate until June 2023.

APA reports quoting Figaro that this document will allow European citizens to move freely in the Schengen area in case of emergence of new strains of coronavirus.

The rule on a single sanitary document for vaccination or cure in Europe was introduced on July 1, 2021.

The rule will expire on June 30.

The European Commission proposed extending the rule in February.

The deputies said that the epidemiological situation on the continent could change at any time.

However, the digital single passport Covid-19 will allow citizens to move freely.
