A minor boy living in a school hostel in Karnataka allegedly committed suicide after the warden refused to wish his mother on her birthday over phone.

The police gave this information on Sunday.

He told that the name of the deceased is Anuj, who was 14 years old and was a resident of Hosakote, Bangalore.

Police said Kishor requested the warden to provide him a phone to wish his mother on her birthday (June 11).

But according to the news, the warden did not give the phone.

Apart from this, the boy's family members also tried to contact him several times, but they could not talk as the ancestor was not allowed to talk, the police said.

He told that the boy, hurt by this, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself after writing the suicide note.

Police said that the ancestor took this step on Saturday midnight. 

Further investigation of the matter is going on

According to the police, other students saw the ancestor's body in the hostel in the morning and informed the hostel management.

Police said the boy's parents reached the hostel during the day.

He said that further investigation in the matter is going on.
