Director General of the Institute of Archeology, Ethnography and Anthropology of ANAS, ted, professor Abbas Seyidov is located in Aygunlu village of Shabran region.

In the second half of the 4th millennium, he visited the Chakgalligtepe monument complex of the 3rd millennium and got acquainted with the monument and archeological research.

ANAS told APA that Abbas Seyidov said the excavations at the monument were carried out at a high level and gave recommendations on future research.

Archaeological excavations in the Chakgalligtapa monument complex are carried out by the Shabran archeological expedition of the Institute of Archeology, Ethnography and Anthropology of ANAS under the leadership of Safar Ashurov, PhD.

Archaeological excavations here began in 2016.

As a result of preliminary research, it was determined that there are 5 hills of the same nature in the area.

At present, archeological excavations have revealed that 200 sq.m.

meters.

As a result, samples of material culture reflecting the peculiarities of the Kura-Araz culture - parts of pottery, stone tools, flint, sickle teeth, arrowheads, bone tools were discovered.

Various types of houses belonging to the Early Bronze Age, as well as semi-excavated and excavated houses typical of the region were found in the settlement.

One of the drilled houses is built of two rows of raw bricks.

There is a gap between the rows.

The foundations of some houses are round, sealed, built with lightweight construction poles and plastered on both sides.

The structure and function of the excavated and semi-excavated houses found in the monument as a result of excavations carried out this year are being studied in detail.
