The Minister of Labor and Social Policy Georgi Gokov

Georgi Gokov was born in the village of Lyubenovo, Radnevo municipality.

After graduating from high school in Stara Zagora, he met with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria Hussein Husseinov.

The two praised the bilateral cooperation in the field of labor and social policy and expressed the desire to deepen the exchange of experience and ideas between experts of the Bulgarian Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan.

Minister Gokov and Ambassador Husseinov focused on the preparation of a draft Administrative Agreement for the implementation of the Pension Insurance Agreement between the governments of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.

The texts of the document are being agreed between the two countries, the press center of the social ministry said.

After their finalization, Minister Gokov invited the agreement to be signed in Sofia.

"In the field of labor migration, we need to intensify work on coordinating the draft agreement on regulating labor migration," he added.

Graduating from high school in Stara Zagora, he stressed that Bulgaria attaches great importance to its relations with Azerbaijan and considers the country as a priority partner in the Black Sea region.

"Today, more than ever, in the conditions of war in Ukraine and the interruption of natural gas supplies, Europe and Bulgaria need to deepen cooperation with the countries of the Caspian region.

"Azerbaijan has proven to be one of Bulgaria's most reliable energy partners for many years," said Minister Gokov.
