The 5 markets to be redeveloped under the first phase will be rebranded with the USP

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced to redevelop the famous markets of Delhi through a digital press conference on Monday.

During this, he said that there are many markets of our Delhi which are very famous.

These markets will be redeveloped and rebranded as we promised during the budget in Delhi.

In the first phase, we are taking five markets.

Which will be redeveloped and rebranded.

He said that we have decided these 5 markets by asking people.

49 applications from 33 markets came to us whereas we had invited applications from people by advertising in the newspaper.

After that a committee of 8 members took the decision and the committee has also visited the markets.

Under the first phase, the 5 redeveloped markets that have been identified will be rebranded with the USP.

These include Kamla Nagar (Youth Hangout Zone), Khari Baoli (Best Spices Heritage of Mughal Sultanate), Lajpat Nagar, Sarojini Nagar and Kirti Nagar.

CM Kejriwal said that gradually we are going to make all the markets of Delhi world standard.

After this, we are now holding a design competition that how to develop which market.

The best designers of the country and the best architects of the country will participate in this design competition.

We will announce this design competition within the next 6 weeks.

The market will be redeveloped on the basis of the best designs which will come from them.
