New Delhi:

Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has adjourned till tomorrow the hearing on the bail application of Kejriwal cabinet minister Satyendar Jain.

The minister, who was arrested by the ED in the money laundering case, has filed a bail application citing ill health.

The matter was heard in the court on Monday, in which the Enforcement Directorate sought time from the court to file a reply on the bail application and said that the hearing should be kept tomorrow.

Whereas the counsel for the minister said that there is no need for a long debate on the merits and documents of the case at the time of hearing.

The health of the minister is not good.

In such a situation, there should be an early hearing on bail.

Time required to file reply

After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the hearing on the bail application in the court has been postponed till 11 am tomorrow.

Along with this, the minister has been sent to judicial custody.

The ministers, who were arrested on May 30, were in EG's judicial custody till June 13.

But now the court has extended this period.

Let us inform that during the hearing in Rouse Avenue Court, ASG SV Raju appeared on behalf of ED.

He said that we need time to file a reply on the bail application of Satendra Jain.

We have to look at the bail application.

In such a situation, the hearing should be postponed for tomorrow.

Satyendra is not taking medicine intentionally

ASG SV Raju said that the medical report of Satendra Jain confirms that his health is fine.

He has blood pressure problem.

He was given medicine but he is not taking the medicine intentionally.

He has been asked to take the same medicine, which I myself take.

Here, Satyendar Jain's lawyer Hariharan cited the minister's ill health.

He said that during the last appearance, Satendra Jain's health deteriorated in the court.

In view of his dire situation, the bail application had to be filed.

This is not an excuse to get bail.

His health is really bad.

The investigation in this case has been completed.

All the evidence is in the form of documents (ie there is no possibility of tampering with the evidence).
