On June 12, foreign diplomats from 11 countries and 4 continents visited Shusha, the capital of culture of Azerbaijan.

ADA University told APA that the “Foreign Policy Program for Foreign Diplomats - 2022” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute of Development and Diplomacy of the ADA University through the International Development Assistance Agency (AlDA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A special visit program to Shusha was organized for 14 foreign diplomats participating in the course.

During the visit, the foreign guests got acquainted with the grave consequences of the occupation of our liberated territories, the settlements destroyed as a result of genocide against the material, cultural and historical heritage of the Azerbaijani people and cultural and historical samples.

At the same time, as a result of Armenia's illegal and inhumane activities, there is a serious mine threat in the occupied territories and the exact map of the mined areas has not yet been provided to Azerbaijan. The victims were brought to the attention of foreign diplomats.

During the visit, the guests got acquainted with the reconstruction and large-scale construction work carried out in Shusha and the liberated areas along the road, and welcomed the volume and speed of the activities.

They were told that with the liberation of the lands, these territories have returned to the economic, cultural and tourist map of the world, and to this day the Azerbaijani government is the only guarantor.

Foreign diplomats were informed about the liberated territories, including the role of Shusha in the socio-political life of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus.

In order to celebrate the 270th anniversary of the foundation of the city and to accelerate the construction work, Karabakh Khan Panahali Khan declared 2022 the "Year of Shusha" in Azerbaijan by President Ilham Aliyev.

14 foreign diplomats from 11 countries (Albania, Burundi, Chad, Gabon, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Morocco, Romania, Paraguay, Sri Lanka and Congo) are participating in the program, which aims to develop human capital and strengthen cooperation at the international level.

The two-week program includes professional diplomats representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ADA University faculty, as well as parliamentarians, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, SOCAR, ANAMA, the Karabakh Revival Foundation, the Center for International Relations Analysis, ASAN Presentations and lectures are organized by representatives of the Service and the Baku International Sea Trade Port.
