The former mayor of Vora, Agim Kajmaku, has been handcuffed by the Italian police on charges of cultivating narcotics.

Kajmaku is after being caught with 20 kilograms of cocaine in the San Benedetto del Tronto area, along with his nephew.

The drugs, which were found hidden inside several flower vases, if sold, would be worth 1 million euros.

Kajmaku had been wanted since November 11, 2019, after the Prosecution signed an arrest warrant for him, but for months he managed to hide from the police.
