The winner of the Azerbaijani Formula 1 Grand Prix has been determined.

According to Apasport.az, Red Bull driver Max Ferstappen took the first place in the eighth stage of the season in Baku.

The Dutch pilot, who crashed in Baku last year, was the first to cross the finish line this time.

He is ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez, who won last year's Azerbaijani Grand Prix.

George Russell (Mercedes), who took advantage of the early termination of the race by Ferrari drivers Carlos Sains and Charles Leclerc, was third.

15 out of 20 pilots reached the finish line.

Thus, the 3-day competition is over.

It should be noted that the first European Grand Prix in 2016 (as it was called at that time) was the driver of the Mercedes Nico Rosberg.

In the next four years after being named the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan, Daniel Riccardo (Red Bull), Luis Hamilton (Mercedes), Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) and Sergio Perez (Red Bull) won the title, respectively.
