German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will travel to Kiev with his counterparts from France and Italy ahead of the Group of Seven summit in late June, the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag reported on Saturday.

According to foreign media, the Telegraph reports, the German media quoted sources from the French and Ukrainian governments.

A German government spokesman told Reuters: "We are not in a position to confirm this."

While questioned by Reuters, the Elysee Palace declined to confirm the information.

Nor has the Italian Government responded promptly to requests for comment.

Otherwise, none of the three leaders has been in Kiev since the beginning of Russian aggression on Ukraine in late February.
