Italian police have published images of the action for the arrest of the former mayor of Vora, Agim Kajmaku.

The latter was arrested a few days ago, after being caught with 20 kg of cocaine together with his nephew.

If the drug were to be sold on the market, it would be worth about 1m euros.

ABC has learned that for about 60 days Kajmaku and the group he served were under close surveillance for 24 hours.

To follow step by step his every move, the Italian police had mounted cameras on several axes, flats and neighborhoods where conversations and meetings were held that were thematic about the illegal activity of narcotics in the neighboring state and Europe.

After his capture, the Italian authorities requested information from the Albanian authorities regarding this citizen who was among the youngest people to join the group.

For more than 8 months, the Italian police had followed in his footsteps, while they started to keep him under surveillance until he was arrested with 20 kilograms of cocaine./abcnews.al/
