New Delhi:

The Uttar Pradesh Police has claimed that illegal weapons and objectionable posters have been recovered from the house of Javed Mohammad, the main accused in Prayagraj violence.

Police Captain Ajay Kumar claimed on Sunday that the house was searched before demolition, in which 12 bore and 315 bore pistols were recovered.

Along with this, some posters and banners have also been recovered, all these documents will be examined. 

Important information related to the case:

  • Ajay Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Prayagraj said, "We have recovered illegal 12 bore and 315 bore pistols. Also some posters and banners have been recovered. In which objectionable remarks have been made against the honorable court."

  • Prayagraj DM Sanjay Khatri has said that action has been taken by the district administration and PDA on the house of Javed Mohammad, before the action it was found that Javed Mohammad's house was built against the rules.

    Because of this, today the work of demolition has been done by the PDA while taking action.

    Action will be taken against all those whose houses are not according to the standards of PDA.

  • Senior state police officer Prashant Kumar has said that in cases of destruction of property during Friday's protests, the state will attach the properties of criminals under the 2020 law.

    Three tribunals have been opened in Lucknow, Prayagraj and Meerut to investigate the matter.

  • On Sunday afternoon, action was taken by Prayagraj Development Authority (PDS) at the house of Welfare Party of India state general secretary Javed Ahmed and his house was demolished.

    It has been said on behalf of PDS that illegal construction was done by Javed.  

  • A few hours before the PDS took action, a notice was pasted at his house.

    It was claimed in the notice that there was no reply from his side to the notice sent to him in May.

  • In the notice pasted by the Prayagraj Development Authority, it was said that without taking the requisite permission from the Development Authority, construction has been done illegally in the ground floor and first floor.

    For this, you were given a show cause notice under section 27(1) of the 1973 Act.

    But no reply was given from your side.

  • Some lawyers have opposed the action of demolition of Javed Ahmed's house with a bulldozer.

    A group of lawyers has written a letter to the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court regarding this. It has been said on behalf of the lawyers that the accused Javed was not the owner of the house which was demolished.

    The house is in the name of Javed's wife. 

  • State General Secretary of Welfare Party of India Javed Ahmed was arrested in Prayagraj in connection with the violence after Friday prayers.

  • Meanwhile, in a veiled warning to the perpetrators of the violence, Mrityunjay Kumar, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, in a tweet on Saturday said, "Remember the rioters, after every Friday there is a Saturday..." Kumar said. Along with his tweet, he also shared a picture of a bulldozer vandalizing a building.

  • In connection with the violence that took place after Friday prayers in various districts of Uttar Pradesh, police have arrested 255 people so far, registering 13 FIRs.

    A senior police officer gave this information on Saturday.
