Police arrested Bilal, a criminal convicted in a robbery case, after 4 years

New Delhi:

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has caught a man who went missing after being sentenced in a robbery case.

Police was looking for him for 4 years.

Now he has been caught working in the fields of his village.

According to Crime Branch's DCP Rajesh Dev, Inspector Govind Chauhan and Amit Prakash of Crime Branch's Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Cell got information that 27-year-old Bilal, who was sentenced by the Saket court in 2018 in the robbery case, is absconding after the sentence. He may be around his village.

After this, on June 9, raids were conducted in his Mathura Jangla Nangli village and the accused was arrested.

Bilal was hiding in his village and doing labor work there.

A case of robbery was registered against the accused in Lajpat Nagar police station and he was on bail at the time of conviction.

When he came to know that he had been convicted, he decided not to surrender and deliberately avoided going to jail.

Initially he was hiding in other places around his village but later he started living in his village.

He told that his village is in Mewat, he felt that no one would be able to catch him from here.

Accused Bilal is married and has four children.

The accused laborer used to work as a laborer in his village.
