The first round of parliamentary elections in France will be held tomorrow, which will finally be announced only after the second round a week later, as it is not known whether the president of the center, Emmanuel Macron, will win the majority of 577 deputies.

According to the latest public opinion poll broadcast by the French media, Macron's coalition together could win 27 percent of the vote and the alliance of left-wing parties led by the leader of the radical left, Jean-Luc Melanchon, 26.5 percent.

In third place would be the far right party of Marin Le Pen (Marine) with 19.5 percent and in fourth place would be the right-wing Republicans with 11 percent.

The media estimated that Sunday will be "a real match between Macron and Melenchon", reports

Melenchon, 70, who won third place in the first round of the presidential election, wants to present the parliamentary election as the third round of the presidential election.

The coalition called the "Ecological and Social Union of the Young People" (Nupes) unites the Socialists, Communists, Environmentalists and Melanchon's party, Unoccupied France.

The French will vote for the candidates for 577 deputies and the absolute majority wants to win at least 289 seats.

If Macron's alliance were to lose the majority, it would be a precedent since the introduction of the Fifth Republic in France in 1958, local media recalled.

Otherwise, voting begins today in some French territories overseas such as Guadeloupe and Martinique.
