Norway will return to the manufacturer military helicopters "NH 90" (NH90), ordered from the French-based company "NH Industries" (NH Industries - NATO Helicopter Industries), because they are not reliable or were delivered late, Reuters reported , citing information from the Norwegian Minister of Defense and the Chief of the Armed Forces.

The government also said it would ask the German-French Airbus Helicopters, Italy's Leonardo and Italy's Fokker Aerostructures to be reimbursed NOK 5 billion ($ 523 million), including interest and other expenses.

There is no comment on this information from NH Industries yet.

No matter how many hours our technicians work and no matter how many parts we order, NH 90 helicopters will never be able to meet the requirements of the Norwegian Armed Forces, Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram told a news conference.

The ministry noted that a contract for the supply of 14 helicopters was signed in 2001, but Norway received only eight.

We have a helicopter that is not working properly, said General Erik Kristofeschen, Norwegian Defense Chief, quoted by BTA.
