In Maharashtra, each candidate needs 42 votes to win the Rajya Sabha.

New Delhi:

Before voting in Maharashtra, it has now been decided who will be able to vote in the Rajya Sabha elections.

The Maha Vikas Aghadi has lost two votes as the court has refused to allow jailed Anil Deshmukh and Nawab Malik to vote.

On the other hand, there is good news for the BJP camp that former Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has now recovered from Kovid.

In Maharashtra, Sanjay Raut, Praful Patel and Imran Pratapgarhi are sure to win from Maha Vikas Aghadi, while Piyush Goyal and Anil Bonde from BJP.

The matter is getting stuck regarding the sixth candidate.

For which Shiv Sena has fielded Sanjay Pawar and BJP has fielded Dhananjay Mahadik.

In Maharashtra, each candidate needs 42 votes to win the Rajya Sabha.

If we look at the figures, Aghadi has the support of 169 MLAs and 112 MLAs in the opposition.

But excluding four big parties like BJP 105, Shiv Sena 55, NCP 54, Congress 44, then adding small parties and independents then their number is 29.

These parties can go to anyone's court.

Aghadi and BJP have put their supporters together in a five-star resort.

Some of these parties are such that they are not in anyone's court.

Like 2 MLAs of Owaisi's party, 2 of CPM, 1 of MNS and 1 MLA of SWP.

Owaisi has openly said that if Shiv Sena asks him for votes, only then he can say anything.

If sources are to be believed, NCP MP Supriya Patel has contacted Owaisi and talks have been held with other parties as well.

NCP supremo Sharad Pawar himself is also in an active role in this.

BJP says that they have 22 extra votes to win the sixth candidate and they claim that they have the support of 7 independent MLAs i.e. they need 13 votes to win, while Aghadi claims that they have Anil Deshmukh and Nawab Malik have 24 extra votes removed and they need 18 votes.

Aghadi is claiming support of 19 votes of smaller parties and independents.

In such a situation, the camel of Rajya Sabha results in Maharashtra can sit on any side.

Since there is open voting in Rajya Sabha.

That's why small parties and independents do not open their cards till the last minute and keep bargaining with both the factions.

That is why there is a rush of votes for the Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra.
