Mercury crosses 41 degree Celsius in most places in Rajasthan

The day temperature was recorded above 41 degree Celsius in most places of Rajasthan on Wednesday.

Dholpur recorded a maximum temperature of 46.2 degree Celsius.


Jaipur Meteorological Center Director Radheshyam Sharma said that according to the present situation, there is a possibility of pre-monsoon rains in the districts of Udaipur and Kota divisions during the coming 10 to 12 June.

He said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers in the districts of Udaipur and Kota divisions during this period.

While the weather is forecast to remain mainly dry in the rest of the state.

He told that there will be a slight drop in the temperature after the next 24 hours, although the period of sultry heat will continue.

There is a possibility of relatively strong winds in the districts of Bikaner Jodhpur division of western Rajasthan.

According to the department, Dholpur was the hottest place in the state on Wednesday with a maximum temperature of 46.2 degrees Celsius.

Hanumangarh's Sangaria is 46.1 degrees Celsius, Sri Ganganagar's maximum temperature is 46 degrees Celsius, Karauli's 45.5 degrees, Bundi 45 degrees, Churu's 44.9 degrees, Pilani's 44.7 degrees, Kota-Phalodi-Chittorgarh 44.6-44.6 degrees Celsius and other prominent places. Between 43.1 to 41.4 degree Celsius was recorded.

At the same time, the temperature of Tuesday night was recorded in the range of 25.5 to 33.1 degree Celsius at most places of the state.
