Four of the crew were killed.

APA reports that the statement was made on Facebook by the US Navy Air Base in El Centro.

"We can confirm that a plane belonging to the 3rd Marine Corps Air Loading Wing crashed near Glamis, California," the statement said.

There were also rumors that the plane contained nuclear material, which was denied.

There are no reports of casualties.

According to USNI-News, there were 3-5 people on board the MV-22B Osprey.
