At least one person was killed and at least 30 others were injured when a car crashed into a crowd near a church in Berlin.

The car was attacked in front of the department store on Rankestrase in Sarlotenburg, Berlin, Telegrafi reports.

Additional information about the perpetrator is not yet known, but the whole area is filled with firefighters.

There are also ambulance crews.

Meanwhile, the American actor John Barrowman, has published on Twitter photos and videos from the place where the incident took place.

"I think we witnessed an attack here in Berlin, but we are still not sure.

There are a lot of people, people's bodies are everywhere, we saw the car that ended up in the windows of a store.

"It's terrible," added the American actor.

On the other hand, the German police have confirmed that the suspect has been arrested, but it is not yet known if the accident was intentional or if it is an ordinary accident.
