The Macedonian opposition party OBRM-PDUKM through a press release has shown that if their proposal would be accepted by SDSM, from today citizens would pay for fuel at cheaper prices and not at the most expensive prices in the region.

"From today up to 25 denars would be released fuel, if SDSM would not reject the proposal of OBRM-PDUKM to reduce excise and VAT.

In the price of unleaded gasoline 95, the excise tax participates with 22 denars, while the VAT with 16.78 denars, so the price of the same is now 110 denars.

If SDSM accepted the proposal of OBRM-PDUKM, from tomorrow it would be sold for 86.3 denars.

That is almost 24 denars cheaper.

Unleaded gasoline 98 today is sold at a price of 112 denars, in that price is calculated excise tax of 22 denars and VAT of 17.1 denars.

If SDSM would accept the proposal of OBRM-PDUKM today, the price of unleaded gasoline 98 would be 88.1 denars.

The same picture is with oil, where excise participates with 15.5 denars in the total price, as well as VAT with 15.5 denars, which sells for 102 denars,

Unlike now, if the proposal of OBRM-PDUKM had been accepted, today diesel would be sold for 82.4 denars, or almost 20 denars cheaper.

The budgetary implication of the 50% reduction of excise duty per year is about 50 million euros.

This is money that Kovacevski and SDSM do not want to give up and at all costs want to take from the pockets of citizens, to have more money to steal.

Budgetary implications for the state budget are insignificant, but the benefits to citizens would be huge.

We must also keep in mind that lowering the price of fuel will reduce transport services, costs in agriculture and industry.

Reducing the price of fuel would increase consumption and more money for both the economy and citizens.

"SDSM does not know how to manage the economy", it is said in the announcement.

We remind you that due to the dissatisfaction that OBRM-PDUKM has with the government, a protest will be organized for the overthrow of the SDSM-DUI government, on June 18 in front of the government building.
