At least one person was killed and at least 30 others were injured when a car crashed into a crowd near a church in Berlin, Germany.

A gray Reanult, in the early hours of this morning, crushed the citizens on Rankestrase Street, which is full of shops and cafes in the western part of Berlin, Telegrafi reports.

German police have announced that the driver has been arrested, but have not revealed whether the accident was intentional.

The incident happened not far from the place where in 2016 the terrorist attack took place on Christmas night, where 11 people were killed.
