Serbian citizen Nikola V. (33) was arrested in Malta after being on the run for four months.

Police were on the run for taking part in a clash earlier this year in the city of Marsaskala.

A 29-year-old man was seriously injured in the quarrel.

Seven police officers took part in the arrest operation, while Nikolla injured four.

Footage of the arrest began circulating on social media, reports Lovin Malta.

The video shows that the Serb was arrested in his swimming boots while he was in the pool.

Police and members of the Rapid Intervention Unit found that the Serb often came to a local club and found him, but when he saw the police he tried to escape.

The police inspector said in court today that Nikola is also wanted in Serbia due to the allegation of illegal possession and production of explosives and firearms.

The court said he fled Serbia with the help of a fake Croatian passport.

Nikolla is accused of seriously injuring a Maltese woman during a quarrel in a bar on February 17, as well as disturbing public order.

He is also charged with using a false passport and giving false information and resisting arrest.

He is also accused of assaulting, threatening and slightly injuring police officers.

Serbia pleaded not guilty in court.

He was stopped.
