A pedestrian died after being hit by a moving car today around 11:22, in Gjilan.

The news for the Telegraph was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Gjilan region, Ismet Hashani.

According to him, the case was reported to the state prosecutor.

“We inform you that on 07.06.2022 around 11:22, in Gjilan near the Regional Hospital, the Kosovo Police in Gjilan has received information about a case of traffic accident with serious injuries.

It is suspected that a moving car hit a pedestrian causing him serious injuries.

Police units went to the scene along with the ambulance.

The victim was sent urgently to the Emergency Center in Gjilan, where despite the provision of assistance, the doctor found that the Albanian victim, a citizen of Kosovo (1946) died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

"The state prosecutor has been notified about the case", said Hashani.
