Croatia will support Kosovo on its path to European and NATO integration.

This is what the Croatian ambassador, Danijela Barisic, said after the meeting she had with the members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

"Croatia has consistently supported Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic path, and we will continue to support Kosovo on the path to European integration, also in NATO," Barisic said.

The Croatian ambassador said that during the meeting with the members of this commission they discussed many topics.

"I thank the members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs for the invitation, I was honored to discuss many topics.

"We talked about our relations that are very friendly, and we also discussed regional cooperation," she said.

Barisic further added that regarding the Russian aggression in Ukraine, we are very grateful to Kosovo that decided to align itself on the right side, as we, the EU and the US have done.

"Kosovo is surrounded by members of the EU and NATO, you are a European country that shares the values ​​of the EU, and you showed this with the sanctions against Russia," said Barisic.

The chairman of this commission, Haki Abazi said that with the Croatian ambassador they talked about various topics, mainly in the bilateral cooperation between Croatia and Kosovo, and the possibilities for the relations that we have to deepen further.

"We also discussed security and defense issues in the region due to the situation in Ukraine. We thanked Croatia for its continued support of our freedom, independence and state-building.

We also talked about the topic of European integration, and the experience of Croatia in this way ", said Abazi.
