Belarusian carriers were advised to choose alternative routes to leave Georgia, in particular, to use routes through Azerbaijan.

APA-Economics reports quoting Belarusian media that the cargo will be transported via Tbilisi (Georgia) - Red Bridge (Georgia - Azerbaijan) - Samur checkpoint (Azerbaijan) - Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint (Russia) - Gomel (Belarus). their actions are considered expedient.

This route is 1,000 kilometers longer and can take up to a week to cross the border.

According to the Belarusian embassy in Georgia, the queues for travel from Georgia (Dariali) to Russia (Upper Lars) are more than 100 kilometers, and they continue to increase.

The waiting period is 3-4 weeks or more.

The increase in cargo transportation through Georgia is due to factors such as increased demand for food, the beginning of the agricultural season, increased trade cooperation, as well as the impossibility of transit of goods through Ukrainian ports.

In light of the above, the embassy recommends that drivers planning to return via Upper Lars have a supply of food, water, medicine and hygiene items.

In addition, carriers are advised to take as much cash or Belarusbank cards as possible, as many Belarusian bank cards are currently not accepted for payment in Georgia.
