Today, on the eve of the summit in Ohrid, President Stevo Pendarovski said that he supports the "Open Balkans" initiative because, as he stressed, it is not outside European freedoms in terms of economic cooperation and movement across borders.

He stated that the initiative should be complementary, and not parallel to the Berlin process, Serbian media report.

Pendarovski expects that at the next summit new initiatives for cooperation will appear, concrete projects, as well as confirmation that they will continue with the previous ones, which, as he said, have given favorable results for the countries participating in that regional process.

Tomorrow in Ohrid begins the two-day summit of the regional initiative "Open Balkans", which will be attended by the Prime Ministers of Northern Macedonia and Albania, Dimitar Kovacevski and Edi Rama, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, as well as representatives of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. .

As announced, several agreements and memoranda of cooperation in the field of higher education, tourism, culture and tax services will be signed at the summit.

The guest of the summit will be Montenegrin Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, who supported the Open Balkans initiative and will take part, as he warned, in the role of observer.

The President of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Tegeltija, will also be invited to the summit./Telegrafi/
