A vote of confidence in British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will be held.

APA reports quoting Sky News that the voting will be held today between 18:00 and 20:00 local time.

After months of uncertainty, the Conservative Party has confirmed that at least 54 lawmakers have applied for a vote of confidence.

For Prime Minister Johnson to remain in office, he needs the support of at least half of the 180 lawmakers (91 deputies).

If he wins, he will remain party leader and prime minister.

Otherwise, a vote will be held to elect a new party leader and prime minister, and Boris Johnson will step down.
