Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria have banned the flight of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who was to visit Belgrade on Monday, Danas reports, Telegrafi reports.
At the same time, the office of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuiqi., Has announced that the latter will meet on Monday at 10 am with the Russian Ambassador to Belgrade, Aleksandar Bocan-Kharchenko.
As previously announced, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is scheduled to visit Serbia on June 6th and 7th.
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said today that the situation around Lavrov's arrival in Belgrade was "complicated" and that Vucic was dealing with the logistics of his trip.
"It is truly incredible that the situation in Europe and in the world is such that the president of a country has to deal with such things as the travel logistics of a foreign minister, which determines whether he will come or not." said Brnabiq.
Two days ago, Vucic said that Lavrov's visit had already been planned and that the outcome of the visit was uncertain until it was realized.
"It is possible that everything is fine, and it is possible that it is not.
"Is everything planned, everything is planned", he said.
He added that he did not rule out the possibility that Lavrov's visit to Belgrade could jeopardize the visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
