In three separate road accidents in Betul, Khandwa and Singrauli districts of Madhya Pradesh, 12 people including three children were killed, while 39 others were injured, out of which 18 are in critical condition.

The police gave this information on Saturday.

Tarannum Khan, in-charge of Chicholi police station said that a speeding tractor-trolley overturned on Kesia-Kanhegaon road late Friday night at around 12.30 pm in Chicholi police station area of ​​Betul district, killing five people in it, while at least 23 people were injured, out of which 12 are in critical condition.

He told that after the accident all the injured were admitted to Chicholi Community Health Center, from where 12 seriously injured people were referred to Betul District Hospital.

According to Khan, villagers of Bondari village had gone to Imlidhana to pick up the bride after the wedding and on their way their vehicle crashed about 10 km from Chicholi.

The deceased have been identified as Sammu Uikey (70), Ozhu Ahake (60), Shivdayal Merscole (50), Maliya Kakodia (50) and Sugandhi (55), he said.

All of them were residents of Bondari village.
