"Armenia" and "I feel honored" factions failed to convene an extraordinary session of the Armenian parliament

APA reports quoting Sputnik Armenia that the reason is that the members of the Civil Contract faction, which has a majority in the parliament, did not attend the meeting.

Although 54 deputies were needed for the quorum, there were only 33 deputies in the meeting hall.

Parliamentary Speaker Alain Simonyan left the meeting after giving another 4 hours to gather the required number of deputies in accordance with the rules.

Opposition factions planned to adopt a statement convening an extraordinary session of parliament.
