EU countries will be able to exchange data on refugees registered in their registers who have been granted temporary protection under national measures.

The data will be exchanged in real time so that refugees can enjoy their rights anywhere in the EU, as well as to avoid enrollment in more than one country, the statement said.

According to the UN, more than 6.8 million refugees have left Ukraine since the start of the war, with about five million arriving in the EU.

More than 3.6 million are sheltered in Poland, followed by Romania (990,000), Hungary (683,000) and Slovakia (461,000).

In April, the EU approved € 3.4 billion in pre-financing for EU countries that have sheltered Ukrainian refugees.

2.9 million refugees admitted to Ukraine's neighboring countries have moved to other EU countries

A valuation of 40 euros per week for an accepted refugee was introduced, covering the cost of a 13-week stay from the date of arrival of the Ukrainians.

Earlier, the EU Council clarified that about 17 billion euros will be allocated from unused and redirected budget funds to meet the needs of refugees from Ukraine.
