Satyendra Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on Monday in an alleged money laundering case.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain has been ordered by the court to be sent to the Enforcement Directorate's custody till June 9.

Along with this, the court has directed Jain to provide home food while in custody.

However, during the custody, the court has rejected the request of Satyendra Jain to visit the temple daily.

Significantly, Satyendra Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday in an alleged money laundering case.

The money laundering case against the AAP minister stems from an FIR lodged against him and others by the CBI in August 2017 on charges of possessing disproportionate assets. The ED probe found that for the period 2015-16, During the period when Satyendar Jain was a public servant, companies profitably owned and controlled by him received local entries worth Rs 4.81 crore from shell companies in lieu of cash transfers to Kolkata-based entry operators through the hawala route.

The ED has mentioned that this amount was used for direct purchase of land or for repayment of loan taken for purchase of agricultural land in and around Delhi.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had registered a money laundering case against Jain and his family in August 2017 for allegedly amounting to Rs 1.62 crore.

The CBI alleged that Jain and his family had formed four shell firms to launder Rs 11.78 crore in 2011-12 and Rs 4.63 crore in 2015-16.

The Enforcement Directorate had initiated a probe into the money laundering allegations based on the CBI's FIR.

On Jain's arrest, Delhi government's Deputy Chief Minister and AAP leader Manish Sisodia had reacted sharply yesterday, saying that 'a fake case is being run against Satyendra Jain for eight years'.

So far ED has been called many times.

In between, ED stopped calling for many years as they did not get anything.

Now started again because Jain is the election in-charge of Himachal.

He had said that BJP is losing badly in Himachal.

That is why Satyendra Jain has been arrested so that he cannot go to Himachal.

They will be released in a few days as the case is completely fake.
