Two Turkish servicemen were killed over the weekend in a military operation in northern Iraq, where Ankara is fighting Kurdish rebels, AFP reported.

A military man was killed in an improvised explosive device blast on Saturday, with one wounded, the Turkish Defense Ministry said.

The second, wounded in a shootout, died yesterday from his wounds in hospital.
