Kolkata:

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee on Saturday hit out at the judiciary for ordering a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into "every case" in West Bengal.

Addressing a rally at Haldia in East Medinipur district, Banerjee said she avenged the "oppression" of central agencies by including two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs in the Trinamool Congress.

Without explaining her allegations, Banerjee said, "I am ashamed to say that there are one or two people in the judiciary who are in collusion and are ordering a CBI probe in every case.

It is only one percent of the judiciary.

'decided to give a befitting reply'

He said, "If you think that you will take action against me for speaking the truth, then I will speak the truth a thousand times." Inquiry has been ordered.

"The CBI and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) are being misused to threaten us.

To insult the state, he had called me to Delhi twice on matters related to West Bengal.

They were trying to harass me.

I decided to give a befitting reply to two BJP MPs by including them in the party.

It is worth noting that BJP MP from Barrackpore Arjun Singh joined TMC last week, while Babul Supriyo, MP from Asansol, had joined the party in September last year.

Banerjee, MP from Diamond Harbor, claimed, "If we open our doors, the existence of BJP in Bengal will end."

Shubhendu Adhikari targeted

Taking a veiled dig at Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari, Banerjee claimed that she 'dealed' the legacy of Medinipur to save herself from the CBI and the ED.

Banerjee said, "There was one person who was a hindrance between the government and the party.

I have come here to remove that blocker.

The man has sold his soul, heritage and spirit of Medinipur to save himself from ED and CBI.

He is a favor-loving person."

Here, hitting out at Banerjee, the BJP claimed that Banerjee's comments on the judiciary reflected the panic generated in the ruling party.

BJP spokesperson Samik Bhattacharya said, "The comments show that TMC leaders have no respect for the judiciary.

This also shows that TMC fears that the truth may come out through a CBI probe.
