In particular, it is about imposing sanctions similar to those provided by law against Russia and its residents.

The draft law provides for the confiscation of assets and property of Belarus controlled by legal entities or individuals whose actions have threatened or significantly contributed to the national security, sovereignty or territorial integrity of Ukraine (aggression or terrorist activity) or significantly contributed to such actions.

In addition, deputies propose to forcibly confiscate the property of residents of Belarus (not only legal entities but also individuals) in favor of the state of Ukraine on the grounds of public necessity.

Similar sanctions will apply to those citizens of Ukraine who have the citizenship of the Republic of Belarus or the Russian Federation.

Separately, the authors of the bill propose to include in the law, which was previously adopted in relation to Russia, a rule on the right of Ukraine to demand in accordance with international law to prosecute the state of Belarus and compensation for damage caused by full-scale war.
