Prime Minister Albin Kurti's three-week official visit to the United States and Switzerland is being seen as protracted and unproductive for Kosovo by political analysts.

Kurti started his official visit to the US on May 6, and then traveled to Switzerland where he participated in the World Economic Forum.

Tonight he is expected to come to Kosovo, according to the statement of the spokesman of the Government of Kosovo, Përparim Kryeziu, given to the Telegraph.

According to political affairs expert Emir Abrashi, this visit is one of the longest conducted by any institutional leader, but with very few results.

He even says that this visit was more of an excursion and quenching of personal curiosities.

As for the duration, Abrashi says that there was a purpose - that of throwing "ashes" to extinguish the criticism of the international isolation of the country.

"For over 3 weeks stay abroad, for visits of extremely low political level, are a luxury that no institutional leader should allow himself, much less the Prime Minister, as the person who holds the strongest position inside the country." he said in a written response to the Telegraph.

Abrashi described Kurti's visit to the US as a waste of time, as he said, there were no meetings at the political level.

"At the political level, the only representative of the Biden Administration that Prime Minister Kurti has met during his stay in the United States is President Biden's National Security Adviser.

Without underestimating the weight that Mr.

"Sullivan has within the Biden Administration, the level of meeting has been too low for a Prime Minister."

"In order for the level of meetings to be satisfactory, a prime minister should aim to meet with President Biden and Vice President Harris in Washington, not with their advisers.

"But the fact that the Prime Minister of Kosovo fails to hold meetings in the West Wing of the White House is a bad indicator of the Kurti Government's relations with the White House," he added.

As for meetings with company executives, Abrashi said that they are useless until they take place without the participation of representatives of Kosovar businesses.

"On the other hand, meetings with businesses without the participation of representatives of Kosovar businesses, such as.

representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, are useless because the Government can invite businesses, but the Government is not what does business.

"The government should be a facilitator, not a key actor in meetings with businesses abroad."

Expert on political issues, Emir Abrashi

Analyst Arton Demhasaj has almost the same criticism on this issue.

He said in a statement for the Telegraph that Kurti as an opposition has presented Kosovo as a country with many problems, and now that the citizens have entrusted him with leadership, he has left the country to escape responsibility.

"Such a long visit is problematic.

Kurti, while in opposition, presented Kosovo as a country with many problems.

In the election he came out with promises that he would solve all the problems.

When citizens trusted him by voting for him, he now goes abroad for almost a month.

"He has made promises and must stay in Kosovo to solve the problems."

Further, Demhasaj said that this visit was not well planned and as such it is better not to do it at all.

"Official visits are made in 2-3 days, with a clear agenda.

But, I have never seen such a long visit.

The second, then, is at the level of meetings he has held.

Has not managed to meet anyone from the executive in the US.

Better a poor horse than no horse at all.

"I think this visit was well planned."

"Kurti went there on his own.

"As for the meetings in Switzerland, I think they were of the highest level and most productive," he added.

The other expert on political issues, Shqipe Pantina, is also critical of this visit.

In a statement to the Telegraph, she said that protests have taken place in Kosovo and the dissatisfaction of citizens is growing, but Prime Minister Kurti has not even spoken on these issues.

According to her, this shows that Kurti has forgotten the problems of the citizens he represents and has started to fulfill his personal dreams.

"It is the second time that the prime minister pays such long visits.

So, he did the same thing last year in Greece, where he had participated in a seminar representing his party and not the state of Kosovo.

"It seems to be more of a party visit than a state visit," said Pantina.

During his stay in the US and Switzerland, Kurti met with officials, including Biden Administration's National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, compatriots and businessmen.

But, the opposition parties have also criticized him, saying that this visit was a "walk" without strategy
