With the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, another project aimed at preserving, developing and promoting our national and spiritual values ​​and cultural heritage has been implemented.

APA reports quoting the Heydar Aliyev Foundation that a new carpet collection "Azerbaijani carpet-dance of loops" and a book of the same name, prepared within the project launched in 2016, will be presented on June 3 at the Heydar Aliyev Center.

The art of carpet weaving in Azerbaijan has been an integral part of the people's life and culture for centuries and has survived to this day.

As a result of the instructions and care of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice-President, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, a number of important documents have been adopted and various projects have been implemented in the development of carpet weaving in Azerbaijan.

“Creation”, “Shikargah”, “Khan hunt”, “War and peace”, “Bandi-rumi”, “Shabekali”, “Adam and Eve”, “Tree”, “Pomegranate” in the collection of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation giving new breath to ancient art , “Gollu”, “Petal-orange”, “Four seasons”, “Tagli”, “Jamadat” carpets, “Paradise birds” and “Paradise garden” set carpets will attract the interest of visitors as unique works of art.

Each of the carpets in the collection conveys its message to the visitor through patterns and ornaments.

In "Genesis", all the stages from the preparation of raw materials to the full creation of the carpet are reflected in the bright artistic language.

6 artists and 14 weavers, including People's Artist of Azerbaijan Eldar Mikayilzade, took part in the creation of the new collection.

Carpets dyed with natural dyes are woven from silk and wool.

170 colors and shades are used here.

In order to obtain different shades of color, weavers created a new yarn from several colors by opening thin silk threads like hair.

The wonderful Sheki Khan Palace, Shakikhanov's house, nets, patterns from nature, rich flora and fauna, monolithic embroidery, delicate jewelry were an inexhaustible source of inspiration in the creation of carpets.
