Sushil Kumar Modi has demanded removal of controversial Vice Chancellor of Magadh University

Patna :

The news of relief for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Bihar is that now senior BJP MP Sushil Modi is demanding the Governor to remove the controversial Vice Chancellor of Magadh University.

It is believed that due to the patronage of Raj Bhavan and the Governor, Vice Chancellor Rajendra Prasad remains in his post.

Sushil Modi said in a statement that Magadha University Vice Chancellor Rajendra Prasad, who was found in surveillance raids in cash worth crores of rupees and who has been accused of irregularities to the tune of more than 30 crores, has been granted bail by the Patna High Court after the cancellation of his anticipatory bail plea. The latter should be dismissed forthwith.

According to Sushil Modi, Prasad is on leave for the last 6 months on the basis of false medical reports and the education world is being tarnished by continuing in the post of such corrupt Vice Chancellor.

He said that in order to help Rajendra Prasad, Ravi Prakash Bablu, the Registrar of Jayaprakash University, on whom the charge sheet has been submitted in the case of corruption in the Surveillance Police Station Case No. 15/2010, has been given the additional charge of the Registrar of Magadh University. .

Similarly, the main witness in the Vice Chancellor's corruption case, the then Controller of Examinations, Professor Bhrigunath Prasad, was transferred yesterday from the headquarters of Gaya to Aurangabad.

Bhrigunath Prasad had said that pressure is being put on him by the people of the Vice Chancellor.

It is worth noting that yesterday itself, the order of the High Court mentioned the allegation of Bhrigunath Prasad.

Rajya Sabha MP Modi said that the Monitoring Bureau had written a letter to the Governor on November 26, 2021, seeking permission against 27 people including his personal secretary Vijay Singh and Atul Srivastava of Lucknow in a criminal case related to corruption, but till date that permission has not been received.

Due to this the image of higher education of Bihar is getting spoiled.
