A scientist died after he allegedly jumped from the seventh floor of Delhi's Shastri Bhawan.

According to the information, the deceased were working in the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

The deceased has been identified as Rakesh Malik, a resident of Peeragarhi in West Delhi.

The body of the deceased was found in front of the gate number two of Shastri Bhawan. 

Giving information, Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police Amrita Guguloth said that information was received about a person jumping from Shastri Bhawan.

After which the local police reached the spot and investigated the dead body, then the deceased was identified as Rakesh Malik.

The DCP said that a team of officers of Parliament Street police station and a team of crime branch along with ambulance reached the spot.

Further investigation is on and legal action is being taken.
