At least two people have been killed after police in Goshen, Indiana said "many people" were shot dead Saturday afternoon.

The Goshen Police Department did not specify in a Facebook post the number of people shot, but said that many people were transported to local hospitals after a shooting in the southern part of the city, writes FoxNews, reports Telegrafi.

One of the victims who was transported to the hospital has been declared dead.

Another victim died at the scene, police said.

". Based on the information received by the police, it is not believed that there is any danger to the public regarding this incident.

"This is an ongoing investigation, so there are no other details at the moment," said the police.
