The head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj has commemorated the massacre in Dubrava Prison, which took place about 23 years ago.

Haradinaj through a post on the social network Facebook, said that although these massacres are proven in detail no one has yet been tried for them.

"May 22, 1999, is also remembered for the violence of bloodshed, which captured the city of Vushtrri, in an attempt to eliminate the Albanian being.

Although these massacres are well documented down to the last detail, no one has yet been tried.

"The pain for the fallen is great, and the non-establishment of justice only keeps the wounds of the soul fresh."

The AAK leader further added that the Serbian state still refuses to answer for the crimes committed in Kosovo, denying the truth.

"The road to freedom was difficult and with many sacrifices.

"The Serbian state still refuses to accept the truth and answer for the crimes, and Kosovo continues the battle for the truth," Haradinaj wrote.

The Dubrava Prison massacre is a time of war in which at least 99 Kosovo Albanian prisoners were killed and about 200 were injured in the Dubrava prison in northwestern Kosovo on May 22-24, 1999.
