During an event organized in AAP-ruled Punjab, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday recalled the farmers' movement and said that the BJP-led central government wanted Delhi's stadiums to be converted into temporary jails to protest against the new agricultural laws. 'Ghar' can be given to the farmers marching in Delhi.

CM Kejriwal said, "I have also emerged from a movement, the Anna movement. The same was done to us at that time. They used to keep us in the stadium. I also stayed in the stadium for many days. I understood that This is a ploy to end the farmers' movement." 

'We stood with the farmers'

He said, "If the farmers who entered Delhi had been detained in stadiums, the farmers' movement would have been limited to one stadium. But we refused to do so. We said we would not convert stadiums into jails. They (Centre) were so angry, but we stood with the farmers."

Kejriwal said, "The Delhi government helped the agitating farmers. They were given clean drinking water, toilet facilities, fed food in langar. We are happy that we helped the farmer brothers. We did all that we could. were." 

Rakesh Tikait was also present in the program

Let us inform that in the program in which CM Arvind Kejriwal said these things, veteran farmer leader Rakesh Tikait was also present.

Rakesh was one of the leaders of the massive agitation last year against the controversial agricultural laws, which were finally repealed.
