The 75th World Health Assembly will be held in Geneva until May 28.

APA reports that the event will be aimed at strengthening the preparedness of the global community for the reactions to the pandemic.

Representatives of 194 member countries, including Russia, will take part in the main annual forum of the World Health Organization (WHO), which will be held in the traditional form for the first time since 2019.

The main topic of the forum will be "Health for the world, the world for health."

In addition to preparing for emergencies, the delegates will discuss a roadmap for the prevention of non-communicable diseases for 2023-2030, an action plan for epilepsy and other neurological disorders, the fight against tuberculosis and polio, and food security strategies.

The Assembly will determine the five-year term of the WHO Director-General.
