"Azerbaijan's successful, well-thought-out policy is appreciated and welcomed by the international community.

The position of our country in the system of international relations has made Azerbaijan a reliable partner.

Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Vugar Iskandarov told APA.

The MP said that this is felt in the approach of the leaders of different Western countries to Azerbaijan and President Ilham Aliyev:

"The congratulatory letter sent by US President Joseph Biden to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of May 28 - Republic Day once again confirms this.

The high value given by the US President to energy diversification and cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of international security for 30 years is a clear confirmation of the correct and well-thought-out policy of our country.

In general, each line of this letter can be assessed as the fate of Azerbaijan's successful policy.

The letter emphasizes the importance of Azerbaijan's energy resources in playing an important role in ensuring and stabilizing the security of European and world markets, praising Azerbaijan's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and humanitarian aid.

It is not uncommon to appreciate our country's significant contribution to the global fight against terrorism.

At the same time, the letter should assess the current situation as an important opportunity to achieve lasting peace in the South Caucasus, as well as the US's acceptance and support of the reality in our region.

I believe that both the above and the letter's statement, "Now is the time to hope for an important opportunity to achieve lasting peace in the South Caucasus.

The United States stands ready to help intensify diplomatic contacts between Azerbaijan and Armenia and build Azerbaijan's economic, transportation, and interpersonal ties that will allow the entire Caucasus and Trans-Caspian region to flourish.

Vugar Iskandarov said that in general, given the complex nature of the current processes, the letter should be considered as a reaffirmation of US support for Azerbaijan's independence and sovereignty.
