The G7 countries have agreed to allocate about $ 20 billion to support the Ukrainian economy in the coming months.

APA reports that this was stated in the final statement adopted at the end of the two-day meeting of G7 finance ministers and central bank governors.

The G7 finance ministers reaffirmed their commitment to assist Ukraine with various grants and loans.

The United States, which has contributed more than $ 9 billion in short-term funding, has agreed to provide $ 19.8 billion in financial support after urging its allies to do more to ensure Ukraine's future.

The statement did not say how much each G7 member would contribute.

"We will continue to stand by Ukraine during and after this war and are ready to do more if necessary," the statement said.
